SACRED JOURNEY PROGRAMS

Awaken in Japan’s
sacred places.

Open your senses in Koyasan, then explore them in Kumano.
Two sacred places. A journey into a new way of sensing.

WORLD HERITAGE / KII PENINSULA

Sacred places, connected.
Wisdom to discover.

Koyasan and Kumano belong to the World Heritage cultural landscape of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range. The Kohechi trail connects the two.

The Kumano Kodo is a network of pilgrimage paths to Kumano’s three grand shrines. Retired emperors and court nobles once travelled here, to a place long revered for spiritual renewal.
